Idyllically situated

Emmaboda municipality is idyllically situated in the middle of the ‘Crystal Kingdom’. Around 9,500 residents live in the region spread over rural communities such as Långasjö, Vissefjärda, Boda, Broakulla, Eriksmåla, Åfors and Lindås as well as in the main town of Emmaboda. Founded in 1874, in connection with the towns of Växjö, Kalmar and Karlskrona being linked up by railway, Emmaboda was once a notable railway community. Today, the distance between these three towns is exactly 57 kilometres. The ideal location in the southeast of Sweden makes daily commuting to and from the municipality easy – it takes around 30 minutes by train to any of the three main towns.

Emmaboda municipality is made up of the municipal administrations, four wholly-owned group companies (EBA- Emmaboda bostads AB, EMFAB – Emmaboda Fastighets AB, Emmaboda Energi and Möjligheternas Hus AB) and the Emmaboda – Torsås Rescue Services Association. We employ around 900 people in the group that look out for your best interests!
