Emmaboda municipality is Vilhelm Moberg's native place. Moberg has taken many of his novel characters and places from our regions. Take the opportunity of visiting Duvemåla, Klasatorpet and Vilhelm's place of birth Moshultamåla.

It was here the Vissefjärda farmer Nils Dacke became famous throughout the Nordic region for his struggle for liberty with the Swedish King and his sheriffs.
